Prof. W
With a PhD in Chemistry, Dr. W has been teaching higher education for over 25 years. Skilled in simplifying complicated science concepts for students to absorb, Dr. Wang's boot camps greatly increase student performance in AP/SAT exams for university preparations.
Dr. W can teach math, physics, and chemistry in 1-1 as well as small group settings (3-4 students per group).
Dr. L
An immunologist and artist, Dr. L is a proponent of S.T.E.A.M. teaching. She uses her creativity to customize challenging science & technology curricula for students who want to advance their learning, or design projects for children who simply wanted to have their curiosity quenched.
Dr. L obtained her PhD from UBC and performed research at University of Gothenburg and Harvard. Dr. L taught medical school, university immunology and lab courses, and has over 20 years of experience training research scientists.
She is versed in mentoring Science Fair projects, teaching presentation skills, as well as developing education and career plans.
Dr. G
Dr. G has been teaching history, English literature, political science, and writing for over 15 years. He has extensive online teaching and tutoring experience, is a professional editor and copywriter, and continues to pursue historical research. He is currently writing a book on British colonialism in 18th century India. Dr. G has a PhD in history from the University of Waterloo, a MA in Medieval Studies (English literature and history) from the University of Toronto, a MA in political science from Tel Aviv University, and a BA in history and English from the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. G is passionately interested in history and literature, and offers courses in a on a variety of historical and English topics.
Ms. J
Ms. J holds a Bachelor's Degree in Math and is currently completing her Education degree at UBC. She is a very enthusiastic teacher that utilizes various methods to make you understand math concepts.
Dr. B
Dr. B is a research scientist enthusiastic about sharing her passion in science and outreach. She is an expert in interdisciplinary science, and is adept at showing young children how the world connects. She can easily spark your child's interest in S.T.E.A.M.
From Science Fair projects to discussing cool science news, Dr. Bell's energetic, engaging, and amiable personality, makes her the go-to person for children who wants to start S.T.E.A.M at an early age.
Ms. G
Ms. G holds a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing and an Education degree at UBC. Ms. G is the go to person for English writing. She is admired by all of her students.
Mr. K
Mr. K is an MIT graduate with experience as an Admissions Counselor and a physics and math teacher. With his clear communication style and cross-cultural experience, Mr. K makes complex ideas accessible and engaging.
With a double major in physics and philosophy, Mr. K bridges science and thought to spark curiosity and inspire deeper conversations that challenge students to think beyond the classroom.
Mr. B
Mr. holds an MBA from Cornell University and brings over 15 years of international teaching experience across the USA, UK, and Canada. He has helped hundreds of students achieve top scores and gain admission to leading universities worldwide.
Specializing in SAT preparation, as well as AP courses, he emphasizes building strong conceptual foundations, mastering efficient problem-solving techniques, and developing personalized test-taking strategies. His goal is to equip each student with skills and confidence to perform their best on test day.
