At Ivy Lab Education, math is more than a subject — it’s a way of thinking. We don't just teach at a high level. We know how to break down complicated concepts and explain them in different ways, depending on the student. Sometimes, an unconventional approach is exactly what a student needs—and nothing at Ivy Lab is conventional.

Elementary Math
A Strong Foundation, Built Our Way
At Ivy Lab, we design and teach our own Math curriculum, organized into structured modules. We combine the creativity and problem-solving skills emphasized in North American education with a carefully selected amount of practice and memorization—strategically used to give students an academic edge.
We Do Not Look for Instant Gratification
We identify gaps that are commonly overlooked but can become problematic later. Weaved into our program, students are constantly prompted to explain their thinking clearly, giving them a strong foundation for more advanced Math. When prepared properly, students are ready for future Math endeavors, whether that means standardized exams like the SSAT or our Math competition programs. Mastery of the BC curriculum is a given.

Have you heard of a tutoring office where students often don't want to leave? Many first-time students are genuinely surprised when class is over because they feel like they have only been there for a short time.
Our teachers are energetic and approachable, but we also have high expectations. Students are constantly challenged—that is simply how our teachers teach—but they also feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and receiving feedback.
We take Math seriously. We just don't think learning it has to feel serious all the time.
High School Math
A Different Approach
By high school, time matters. We understand that students are often balancing school, extracurriculars, standardized exams, and other commitments. Hence, we have mapped out what students actually need for each path they may choose—from mastering the BC curriculum to preparing for standardized exams such as AP exams and the SAT. Of course, students are also welcome to participate in our co-curricular Math and Physics competition programs.
What about official exam questions?
We have a bank full of official exams (our teachers have a hoarding problem) and use them for targeted practice, but we prefer to first build proper understanding using carefully curated workbooks selected for each student, for as long as time allows. Once the foundation is there, tackling most exam questions becomes a matter of familiarity rather than learning something entirely new.
Class format
Most high school Math classes are private, allowing us to move at the pace each student needs. And with teachers who bring backgrounds in advanced Mathematics, research, competition coaching, and top universities, students are learning from people who genuinely enjoy solving difficult problems.
We know where students need to go. Our job is to figure out the most efficient way to get them there.
